Join the first collaboration of Yoga Room and The Acosta Approach for a 50-hour Intensive Reformer Training.

This training is designed for individuals who have a desire to teach group Reformer classes, or to deepen your own practice on the Reformer, and within your general movement practice. The Acosta Approach was developed by Anthony Acosta, international movement teacher with trainings conducted in the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East. The approach is an embodied way to teach Reformer, integrating skill and soul into every movement.

What to Expect

The training begins with a full weekend of Anatomy + Movement Principles led by Physiotherapist Isotta Azzarini. Not only will you be looking at each segment of the body, but more importantly learn how movement is a harmonious collaboration between muscles, joints, ligaments, tendons, and fascia!

The following two weekends are all on the Reformer. The training will be heavily focused on ensuring participants understand the technique of every movement in their own body, followed by gaining fundamental tools to deliver the repertoire to a group setting.

What You’ll Experience

Consider this a master class in movement. Our intention is to have you move with power and grace in every position and that will be achieved through constant physical practice, observation, and collaborative conversations.

Who is this training for

  • Dedicated Reformer + Mat Pilates students exploring the path of teaching Group Fitness Reformer

  • Students with solid Reformer background looking to deepen their own movement practice

  • Current Reformer teachers who wish to have a more hands-on training
